PaperGirl

10:20 PM

at last! my exam week is nearly over but i still have several works to be done. huff.. during the exam week, i slept for only 3-4 hours a day. it's really tiring but worth it coz i got a really nice final artworks to be present during the exam. yay me!

ok. this time i would like to post some editorial photos that (for me) is really interesting. since i'm a designer, i really enjoy working with lots of different types of paper. duh! you got it already.

here's the photos. the photographer is Marty Lochmann and the model is Tara Cassidy.

interesting, isn't it? the accessories were all made of papers (i don't what type they used) and i can't imagine how they made it.

maybe i can teach you some terms here. in our industry (visual communication design), there are several types of finishing might be used on a final artwork. one of them is called emboss. emboss is like making some parts emerge than the other. the emboss itself have different kind of techniques. in this shot, the technique used is blind embossing, which means no color was added during the embossing. see.. if you follow this blog, you'll get something to learn. HA!

this time, the paper was used as the collar. i love the effect they make to the model. the finishing they used here is the die cut cutting. this cutting technique is quite difficult because it really emphasizes the details.

another "collar" papery. this is a different technique they also used but i can't remember the name of it.

this? wicked. it looks like the tree, the branches, and the leaf is growing all over her face.

some kind of chinese/japanese-inspired fan for the decoration. i love the makeup they create. smokey.

She's the Man

7:49 PM

November will end tmrw and i'm so excited to welcome December. it's my birth month and also i'm waiting for my results for student exchange program to Dong Seo University, Busan, Korea! wish me luck guys. i thought this year is moving too slow but it's almost the end of the year, right? i'm so glad that 2011 will finish soon.

well, even though i'm on FINAL EXAM mood but i still browse some gorgeous pictures to collect. and i think this is the most shocking one. the first time i see these pictures, i was so amazed of how beautiful "he" is.

seriously. i don't know that she is a man. it's an Australian androgynous model, Andrej Pejic. the moment i found out that she's a man, i was in shock. how could this man is so beautiful and way beyond any girls? *gasp*

i can't find who the photographer is but these portraits are breathtaking. He looks so melancholy with the butterfly.

can you imagine how beautiful is this photograph? i adore it so much. maybe i could try this pose for my next client. hahaha.

i also found some of his editorial shots. it were also super cool for an androgynous.

see how gorgeous he was? oh my God. i still can't believe this man. even girls can't have this outstanding look.

he also had this curvy body that we all girls are dying to get. gosh. he makes every girl in this planet die with envy.

face, body, hair, it's just perfect. really. this man nailed it.
i don't know if Indonesia have one like this man, but if it does, i gonna find him and make him pose for me.
