Tired of Being Ginger

6:30 PM

Heyy!

Did you guys notice my blog banner is changing? Looks like my friend did another great job! I super love my new banner. Thanks to her. You guys should follow her in instagram @carla_han

Anyway,
I'm tired being a 'ginger'. Ever since I started dyeing my hair, I often dyed it red or orange. It's because those hues suits me well rather than having cool colors or brown blonde. So, actually few days ago, I decided to change my hair color to super white blonde. Something like.. Luna Lovegood. Tee-hee. Unfortunately, since my hair color is not even (due to the failed bleaching from the black color to the orange color before this), the result is SUPER not satisfying. It's like... rusty copper and a bit yellow blonde on the top of my head. It sucks. So.. my stylist friend, Yvonne, (haha) she said to me that I should go for the unique color again. Hmm... seems legit. OK then.

TA-DA! Actually it's more like violet purple but it turned out to be a bit pink and purple mixed together. Well... I've been wanting to dye this color tho. So.. YAAAYYY!

Hello again, pink purple hair.

FYI, I dyed my hair in a salon near my dorm. It costs 40k won for the bleaching and another 40k for the coloring. It's actually a 'coating color' only so it won't damage the hair badly. The auntie there is super kind. She bought us an ice cream waffle, for me and Yvonne (who waits for me there T.T). It's my first experience dyeing my hair in salon tho, while I'm living in Korea. Usually I did it myself by purchasing some hair dye from beauty store like ARITAUM or Watson/Olive Young. It costs cheaper tho but sometimes the color didn't turn out well if you do it yourself.

So, piece of advice from me. If you want to do hair coloring but not the natural hair color (no need bleaching), just do it in a hair salon. Look for the good one. Cheap price doesn't mean good result. And famous salon one usually cost double price from the ordinary salon. So, be wise :)

Bye for now.

Sorry for neglecting this blog. Not quite a long hiatus but I've been busy with thesis and everything. Honestly, I fell in love with this concept. Actually I was preparing another concept for a photoshoot but these friends of mine reminds me of Lana Del Rey's song for Maleficent. The 'Once Upon a Dream' in dark version seems to fit my taste :p

Finally, I got a little spare time in the middle of busy days. Actually I'm just bored and tired of doing my assignments so I just grab a friend of mine and do some personal project. It's been a while since I do emotive and lyrical project.

This time, I did 'Only Hope' song from A Walk to Remember. They got 2 versions of this song, one is popular one by Mandy Moore, the other is by the original composer Switchfoot. I personally like Switchfoot's version better. So yeah...

You know the lyrics. Or if not, google it yourself.

Cerita Kita #1

4:41 PM

Kekasih,
Masih ingatkah kau tentang cerita di bawah pohon rindang...
Angin berhembus pelan,
Dan bunga berjatuhan ke telapak tangan..

Hangat tubuhmu yang menyelimutiku..
Petikan senar gitar melantunkan lagu dari jiwa..
Ku rasakan aman bersamamu..

Haruskah ku masuk ke dalam alam mimpi,
Meskipun hadirmu disini memberi arti lebih dari sekedar angan...

The Official Conference picture

HELLO! Konnichiwaaa~
It's been a loooooong time ago since I blogged here. Sorry for neglecting you, baby :(
I was super busy this whole semester (well not really) and actually I don't know what to blog. Haha.
Well, now I come to think of it, I haven't told you guys that I went to Japan! WOOHOO!
Last month, on Spring, I went to Osaka to attend a conference. Another conference, I know right.
So, except going there to see presentations and those academic stuffs, I also did some sightseeing. And for the FIRST TIME IN FOREVEEEER, I was travelling ALONE. Yes, ALONE! It was a wonderful, brand new experience for me. I will definitely do it again!

Here are some quick tips (from me) for those who want to travel alone:
1. THROW AWAY everything that make you attached and not enjoying the trip, especially PHONE (even your parents or boy/girlfriend)! It's better to not have free internet connection everywhere (coz it's pretty hard to find in Japan) so you can experience and see new things in that country.
2. Learn a few basic phrases (on that country's language) to survive. At least you know how to ask the price, order food, point this and that, also ask where the TOILET is.
3. Take as many pictures as you can. Everything surrounds you is different from where you came from.
4. Seriously, shopping is not the main point here. Focus on the culture, the streets, foods, everything there. Experience new things by yourself.
5. Planned carefully where you want to go. Which bus to take, which subway line, which exit gate. Seriously, this is important. Otherwise, you'll got lost easily and no idea where to go.

I won't write everything here because it might be as long as a short novel :p
