Sweet Louis Vuitton Campaign

1:36 PM

Pastel colors are in trend nowadays. it's not spring yet, but pastels are now all over the place. i can see from the vintage pastel color photographs that inspired by Korean movies. yes, i'm infected too. haha.

i never see anything quite like this campaign. i always perceive that Louis Vuitton only used colors like brown, beige, red, etc. but never in pastels. really, i don't know. i never so into fashion like today but i still have a lot to learn.

this is LV's new SPRING 2012 campaign. Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher were photographed by Steven Meisel. too sweet to be true.

this new image of Louis Vuitton fascinates me. i never thought that LV looks so sweet like this. the use of pink, light green and yellow here gives me some comfort. i'm getting bored seeing LV campaigns with that dark contrast colors, black, red and dark brown.

i can't wait to see other LV campaigns in these colors.

MATERNITY doesn't kill your glitzy

1:24 PM

who said pregnancy ruins your body? just a small addition to your weight and size doesn't make you lose your life. Eva Herzigova nailed it! Photographed flawlessly by Michelangelo di Battista for Harper's Bazaar UK.

no sign of pregnancy here, but the hair and the face is a great job.

say no more than a word called EXCELLENCE. i love how the draping on her body. such a beautiful shot.

i'm a HUGE fan of this shot. look at the silhouette. oh God. simply outstanding. the curve with that black silhouette, i love it all.

i don't get it why people afraid of maternity. these shots are worth to try. well, it really depends on you.

birthday

Birthday Blast!

11:23 AM

now, since it's my birthday (yay!), i would like to post some fashion pictures that i considered suitable for the event. Go Fashion with Balloons!

these pics were gorgeous and it just inspires me.

creative, gorgeous and fun in the same time. lovely!

ok, random facts. i want to share some weird yet funny (or maybe scary) facts about my birthday.
HERE WE GO!
1. it's on the 13th of December. ppl always said that 13 is a badluck number. i don't believe it. 13 is my lucky number. and today is 13/12/11. cool isn't it?
2. my mom always told me that when i'm still nowhere but in my mom's body, the doctor said that she will born a boy (again). i hv a older brother. but then, when it comes the time, a girl came out! hmm.. strange.
3. believe it or not, every year, when i celebrate my birthday, there's someone NEW come to celebrate it. either my new friends or some old colleagues. it's just NEW for the community
4. usually, after my birthday, that NEW person/people got some problem with me. weirdo huh?

funny eh? haha. well, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Christmas is coming soon and also my birthday. it's winter all the way.

this time i want to post something cold and dreamy. it's an editorial shots from Tracey Morris for Mojeh magazine in November/December issue. the model they used are Asia Papkova and Amanda Smith.

this is FABULOUS! the snow effect suits her really well.

i wonder where to find this absolute beautiful blue dress.

did they really shoot these pictures with a real snow? they will freeze in cold.

those models put really extra hardwork for this shots. their poses are superb!

totally love the shots! and this really inspired me to do a winter shoot this month. anyone wanna be the volunteer?

PaperGirl

10:20 PM

at last! my exam week is nearly over but i still have several works to be done. huff.. during the exam week, i slept for only 3-4 hours a day. it's really tiring but worth it coz i got a really nice final artworks to be present during the exam. yay me!

ok. this time i would like to post some editorial photos that (for me) is really interesting. since i'm a designer, i really enjoy working with lots of different types of paper. duh! you got it already.

here's the photos. the photographer is Marty Lochmann and the model is Tara Cassidy.

interesting, isn't it? the accessories were all made of papers (i don't what type they used) and i can't imagine how they made it.

maybe i can teach you some terms here. in our industry (visual communication design), there are several types of finishing might be used on a final artwork. one of them is called emboss. emboss is like making some parts emerge than the other. the emboss itself have different kind of techniques. in this shot, the technique used is blind embossing, which means no color was added during the embossing. see.. if you follow this blog, you'll get something to learn. HA!

this time, the paper was used as the collar. i love the effect they make to the model. the finishing they used here is the die cut cutting. this cutting technique is quite difficult because it really emphasizes the details.

another "collar" papery. this is a different technique they also used but i can't remember the name of it.

this? wicked. it looks like the tree, the branches, and the leaf is growing all over her face.

some kind of chinese/japanese-inspired fan for the decoration. i love the makeup they create. smokey.
