BUSAN FASHION WEEK 2014

8:54 PM

YO! Whats up yo?!

OMG. Why I become this weird?

Hello everyone! I'm back!
I'm sorry for neglecting this blog and didn't really update it. I'm super busy with my things and now I decided to update it again with some flash news on BUSAN FASHION WEEK.

It was sooooooo AWESOME that I can't describe it more than that. 2 years ago, when I was doing the exchange program here, I didn't get a chance to participate this. So when I found out this year also got the Fashion Week, I decided to go. Well, most of the days I went there alone but guess what, IT IS NOT BAD AT ALL! Sorry people, it's not that I don't want to go with friends but honestly, going to this kind of event alone is way better. You'll see what I'm talking about later.

I will post some of the highlights of each show I attended so bear with me.

//DAY 1

OK. First day. I saw the full schedule of the fashion shows in the 'Pret-a-Porter' event and the really famous designers were on the 26th and 27th. Therefore, I went there on the first day just to see the exhibition. Well, I was curious and wanted to know the exhibition. So I went there with my Indonesian friend, Tabita. Just so you know, on the first day of the event, the infamous Girl's Day were there. They're having some fan-signing event but it started at 10am. We arrived there at 2pm but WE SAW THEM! I didn't really know them, so I just snapped some pictures of whoever it is (it turns out to be Mina) then go. HAHA. Because the exhibition was just hmmm.. yea like that so we decided to watch some shows. They had a fashion design contest so we just went in and see what it is. I'm surprised that many student designers are so GOOD! At least I'm happy with it.

Another perks of going to Fashion Week alone: did nothing but got a VIP ticket
On the second day, I knew that there's one famous Korean designer but I didn't know who he is. I decided to go see his show but before that, I watched a Japanese designer called Ryosuke Egasira (if I didn't spell it wrong) a.k.a RYORYO. His collection were really minimalist yet elegant.

Then after RYORYO, I was waiting in line for that famous Korean designer called Hwang Jae Geun a.k.a ZÊ QUUN. This is what I'm talking about earlier. I was waiting to get in but then when the staff checked my ticket, it didn't have the seat number. So some staff went in with me inside to exchange the ticket and that's when I saw Jae Geun. I knew it was him because he's bald and everyone inside wants to take picture with him. SO I asked the staff that accompanied me to take a picture for me.

SEE? At least I got a special thing that everyone don't have. It's the perks of going alone to a fashion show HAHAHA. Anyway..

It was an wonderful collection from ZÊ QUUN. BRAVA!

FINAL DAY! This is the day that we're all waiting for. HA SANG BAEK!
Actually I didn't know who he is at first, then I googled him and found out who he is. He's one of the SUPER FAMOUS fashion designers in Korea. Some of his collection worn by SHINEe so maybe you saw it before in some magazine editorials. So in his show, he talked about how he got the concept for his S/S 2015 collection, the moodboard and everything. After that, the show began.

That's all folks. I hope you enjoy what I'm sharing. If you're a fashion designer, YOU ARE LUCKY FOR READING THIS. If you're just fashion people, YOU TOO ARE LUCKY! You're neither? Well, at least it gives you some knowledge.

Ciao.

P.S. if you want to see the whole collection of these 3 designers, I posted in my Instagram some time-lapse videos of those designers.

ANNYEONGHASEYO!
Oops sorry. Hi! I'm back in my hometown now (only for a while and it's because I got work to do). Anyway, I managed to have some meet-ups with my besties and I'm super happy! I missed them so much since I didn't see them in a while.

And another thing, I dyed my hair again. This time, like seriously, it's way more colorful than I've ever imagined. Sort of like rainbow color but not all colors are there. Strides of pink purple blue green and yellow. Cool huh? Me likey so much! I'm ready for FALL! Hahaha.

Well, that's all for now. I'm writing this while lying on my bed, dying of pain. Fuck you period.

TATAH, for now.

BUSAN S/S 2014 (Not a Fashion Week)

11:01 PM

Well, HELLO EVERYBODY!

How are you doing? It's been *hmm* how long is it? 2 months? Aih.. it's been a long time eh?

So! Since I'm not in the mood to write my research paper (yes I have to finish this paper before August 1st but what the hell), I decided to have some recaps for my 4months life in Busan. It's basically few highlights and I SERIOUSLY MISSED MY FRIENDS! gahd i'm going mad now. OK relax.

International Students Dinner Gathering
This time, I made quite A LOT of International friends. My roommate is a Thai girl, whom I'm not really close with and didn't talk much (coz she have a boyfriend already) but she's OK. Then my best friends here are mostly Malays and one tiny Pinoy (Philippines). And then there are few foreigner friends too such as Germans, one Brazilian, one Colombian, Thais, Chinese, and of course, Indonesians. Well I'm quite satisfied with my networking power HAHA.

My two 동생
It's so nice living in 4-seasons country like Korea. Can you imagine how desperate I am to see cherry blossom, maple leaf, and snow right? Aigooo.. oops! Sorry. Well, yeah, I kinda happy that I can experience all of it.

Another visit to Jinhae during Cherry Blossom Festival
Gamcheon Trip
One more reason I like about Korea is the cultural site. I can't believe that the time we went for the Gamcheon trip, my Korean friend (my group leader) said that this Gamcheon area is a bit similar to Santorini in Greece. How could this possible, a Korean small town looks like somewhere in Europe? Santorini is in Europe right? Correct me if i'm wrong. See, almost everywhere in Korea is so full of culture things and feel so artsy. I can't feel happier than this.

And of course, BEACH!
It's my first time too, spending almost 70% of the WORLD CUP 2014 moments here in Busan with my friends. We stayed up almost everyday (well not everyday. mostly it's either Brazil or German or any other great teams match) and play drink games. HAHA. so YOLO right?

WORLD CUP 2014!
I went to Seoul again, this time with my Pinoy sister. We spent 4 nights 5 days (?) and travel around. Seriously, this trip was AMAZING! It was sooooooo fun and thrilling because we got the chance to go to DMZ. WOW!
Some highlights of our Seoul trip

Oh! It's quite a long post eh? Well, I seriously missed these guys super duper much. Au revoir guys! I'm ready for the next seasons, Fall/Winter!

Adios! Ciao~

Hello everyone! Finally I update this blog again. Sorry for not updating. Too busy with my own things here :/

Here's my new work and honestly, i'm quite surprised with these works. I never try ANY Indonesian-inspired photography style, like EVER. I always in those American or Korean fashion style whatsoever but not my own country. Hmm.. Well, finally I got a chance to do it. It's actually for my uni project but I thought it's good enough to be my portfolio as well.

YAY! Finally it's SPRIIIING!
It's been a month (or more) since I arrived back here in Busan. Don't ask about my study, let's leave it first. Quite annoying actually that the weather is still cold and we need to layered up but it's SPRING already?! Oh God. I feel like wanted to go back to my hometown since it's hot there (even though I also can't stand of the humidity). Urgh.

So! I went to the Jinhae Spring Festival for the second time and it's still A LOT of people came there. Not so enjoyable since we're going in a such big groups with all the international people and it's super crowded so.. what do you expected? HAHA! HOWEVER, this time, I managed to catch the sakura's petal! YAY!

P.S. Do you know there's a myth that if you catch the petal when it fell down, you'll get into a relationship here (in Korea)? Well believe it or not but I caught it anyway.
