Hello everyone! Finally I update this blog again. Sorry for not updating. Too busy with my own things here :/

Here's my new work and honestly, i'm quite surprised with these works. I never try ANY Indonesian-inspired photography style, like EVER. I always in those American or Korean fashion style whatsoever but not my own country. Hmm.. Well, finally I got a chance to do it. It's actually for my uni project but I thought it's good enough to be my portfolio as well.

Hey hey guys! How's everybody doing? I've been so busy with fashion photo shoots these days, since I'm helping VDS as the assistant photographer so yeah.. But it was fun though. I can meet some FAMOUS people in my hometown and it was nice to finally met them :D

The images above were my FIRST photo shoot in 2014. YAY! So, at first, I didn't have an intention to do that clean look of beauty portrait. I want to continue my CHEFS-D'ŒUVRE project with AWT but he's not in town :( Then Indah asked for a help to me to have some clean look photos for her model composite card. I'm thinking "why not?". HERE IT IS!

Anyway, it's almost Chinese New Year isn't it? I've prepared another fashion shots, JUST for CNY.
Wait for it!

Ciao.

P.S. AH YES! HAPPY NEW YEAR 2014 PEOPLE!

Lilac Wine

2:54 PM

I lost myself on a cold damp night..
Gave myself in that misty light..
Was hypnotized by a strange delight..
Under a lilac tree..

When I first heard this song, The Cinematic Orchestra's version, I thought I really lost my soul. I saw their official music video too and it's truly beautifully amazing. This song, for me, is something else. I never fell so deeply by a certain song. Well, maybe once but this time it's different. I felt this kind of.. I don't know how to say it. It's really dreamy yet sucking you out into a certain atmosphere, something that you don't really understand.

I should create an artwork based on this song, that's what I thought back then. I hold it for a long time because I couldn't find the right girl to portray this song perfectly. Then I saw one of my juniors in uni doing his project, using this girl as his subject. But I'm still in doubt, honestly. I'm not saying that she's not pretty or what, yes she's really pretty, but hesitating whether she's the right one or not. In my hometown, most models or girls have this edgy, vogue-ish look and it's not really what I wanted. I need someone dreamy and sincere.

Here it is. It fits my interpretation of the song. Thank you to this girl, Michelle, for being a great and beautiful model :)

To those of you who are interested on the song, don't listen to the Miley Cyrus's version. It gives you different feel and I don't really like it.

It's been a while, really, I done something emotional and productive like this. Well, in my opinion, this project turned out great and the responses (on Instagram) are superb! Thank you everyone for keep supporting me. I still have to be more creative and get inspired by many people.

Mamechiyo for Shu Uemura

10:58 PM

i'm not a huge fan of makeup, but i do like seeing the packaging of makeup things. i saw these series on Lotte Department Store in Seomyeon, Busan.  that time, i just passed by it but i took a glance of it and saw this beautiful and colorful packaging. i thought "what is that?". then i realized that it's Shu Uemura's booth. the next few days, i saw Nicoline Patricia Malina (one of my favorite photographer) posted a picture of these products in instagram.

i don't know why but i really love kimonos. not because i'm a Japan-addicted person, but the patterns of kimonos are incredible. not as complicated as Batik and it still eye-catchy.

so this is the collaboration of a kimono artist, Mamechiyo, for Shu Uemura.

there are 4 different fragrances; Fuji, Sakura, Botan, and Ume.

i love the colors used and the floral ornaments in each packaging. don't you think so? or you have it already with you?

1:55 PM

another day has gone. my holiday will end soon and i'll get back to reality. sigh. i hope during school time i still have time to update this blog. *crossing fingers*

here we are again, looking for new and fresh fashion photographers. i don't know why i got so many woman fashion photographers than man. they got really high quality of works and taste of art. maybe i should look more. but these women are superb. including this young lady.

she's Germany. i don't care how old she is. all that i care about is her works. she have this sense of art which i really admire. her honesty portrays in her works. it shows reality, what people want to see in an artwork. no drama, that's the point.

sincere is the key to an artistic one. you don't have to force it to make it better. simply follow the line and it will get you to the right place. this is what i felt when looking through her works. i felt peace.

Letters to Juliet

10:50 AM

back to my current obsession, i'm looking through deviantart again for more stunning fashion photographs. then i found this lady.

she's Italian (i guess) and she had been working on various fashion issues. i can't remember what are those but her works are absolutely outstanding and phenomenal. seriously.

what i loved from her works is how she concern of the details in every picture. it looks like she emphasizing the strong and dramatic side of women's life. i love the colors she used. i just love them all.

i hope one day she can give workshop in Indonesia and i'll make sure that i'm gonna be there.
